Hawthorne Cedar Knolls Family, 

Welcome to the start of what I anticipate will be an exciting, interesting, and transformative school year!  My name is Aisha Prendergast, and I am the newly appointed principal of the Cedar Knolls Academy.  I have worked in the district for 16 years and have served in a variety of roles.  As a result, I have already worked with many of you and our students for a significant amount of time.  Although this role is new for me, my work and my purpose remain the same:  to work together with you to meet the needs of our children, ensuring their academic and personal development and success.  Communication is key to our success, so I  maintain an “open-door” policy.  I can be reached at (914) 749-2964, or at aprendergast@hcks.org.  I will also periodically send home a Principal’s Newsletter to update you with school announcements and events.
